Bülow, Germany

Bulow is a municipality in the east of the county Ludwigslust - Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Crivitz, located in the eponymous city.

Geography and transport

The municipality is located north of state road 321, the Federal Highway 14 ( 19 km) can be reached via the junction Schwerin -east. Bulow is located about eight kilometers northeast of Crivitz. The Warnow flows through the municipal area. In the western part there is the forest area Barniner firs. Here are just under 70 m above sea level. NHN also the highest elevations.

Quarters are Bülow, Prestin and Runow.

History

Bülow was first mentioned in documents as Bulowe in 1262. The place name could from the old Slavic word bul the locator from the resort itself: the place of Bul Bula or derived. It is also possible the derivation of Byl od for weed shrub. The Good Bülow was acquired by the dynasty of Barner 1573 by purchase and exchange and fortgeerbt at the Barner of 1945.

Attractions

  • The Baroque two-storey mansion was Bülower Magnus Friedrich III. aerating Barner 1742 to 1746 in the shape of a castle. In the 19th century, was another conversion. In the upper central projection is the alliance coat of arms of the families of Barner and malt tooth. The ballroom on the first floor dates from this period.
