Cape Codders

The Cape Cod Cubs were an American Hockey franchise from South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

History

The Cape Cod Cubs were founded in 1972 as a franchise of the Eastern Hockey League. After the league was disbanded a year later, joined the team in the inaugural North American Hockey League. The biggest success of the Cape Cod Cubs was reaching the second round of the playoffs to the Lockhart Cup, where they in the 1973/74 season in the best- of-seven series documents the Long Iceland Cougars with 2:4 victories.

For the season 1974/75 the name of the team was changed to Cape Codders. The following season was very chaotic for the team. On December 28, 1975, the Cape Codders were prematurely withdrawn from the game of the NAHL, but returned in early 1976 again in the league back before finally einstellten game operation on February 18, 1976 before the end of the season.
