Carcare

Carcare ( Ligurian cancre, in the dialect he Corcre ) is a municipality with 5587 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Carcare located in the Val Bormida and belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida. The common ground is located at an altitude 359-600 meters, and is traversed by the river Bormida di Pallare. From the provincial capital Savona Carcare is about 19 kilometers away.
