Castrillón
Castrillón is a Concejo ( a municipality ) of the Autonomous Community of Asturias. It is bordered to the north by the Bay of Biscay, on the south by Candamo and Illas, to the east by Corvera and Avilés and to the west by Soto del Barco. The capital Piedras Blancas is 35 km from Oviedo. The Concejo has a railway connection to the network of Renfe. In the hamlet of Santiago del Monte is the Asturias airport.

Geography
With its long coastline, the county is one of the thinnest regions of Asturias. The coast is formed by a number of beaches and cliffs, hence the nickname " the seven county beaches ", although of course there are more than seven beaches.
Climate
The oceanic climate of the community means that there prevail little temperature fluctuations. The average annual temperature is comparable at 13 ° C, with moderate summers and mild winters with frequent rains with the neighboring regions.
