Christian is a masculine first name and family name.

Origin and Meaning

The name comes from Greek Christianos, followers of Christ '; this in turn is derived from Greek Χριστός, Christós, the translation for the Hebrew Mashiach, Messiah, the Anointed One ', based on Jesus Christ. As a general term for Christian " he dives for the book of Acts ( Acts 11:26 EU) in Antioch, and spread there as a nickname.
