Dägeling

Dägeling is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. The district crest belongs to the municipality.

Geography and transport

Dägeling is located five kilometers south of the county town Itzehoe on the federal highway 23 between Itzehoe and Elmshorn.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1427 as Dodelinghe. He was in the ownership of the monastery Bordesholm, from the Johann Rantzau bought from him in 1526.

From 1890 to 1938, the village belonged to the district of Lägerdorf, 1938-1969 to the District Office or from 1948 Neuenbrook. Since 1969 it belongs to the Official Krempermarsch.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections 2008 eight seats and the three SPD.
