Demo Anthology is the title of a published 2007 Collection of demos that were recorded by the American rock band Winger for the preparation of their albums Winger, In the Heart of the Young and pull. In addition to the demos later published on the albums Songs Demo Anthology also contains several outtakes, so songs that have not become part of each music album.
Background
After numerous Winger demos had surfaced from various sources on the Internet to band founder Kip Winger decided to publish all in his possession demo recordings on CD. At the time when the individual songs were created, had a demo recording in Wingers eyes on a quality defect: The musicians were of the view that the technical equipment (amplifiers, recording devices ) were not good enough to come close to a professional recording, so that all Title in the studio have been added. In essence, therefore existing titles have been re-recorded with other technical equipment.
The demos of the first album were recorded in an office building in New York City, all the tracks created within six months and were written by Reb Beach and Kip Winger. To prepare for the second album hired singer and bassist Kip Winger a house in Los Angeles, in which the entire band worked on the first demos. The title of Miles Away, which was written by Paul Taylor and was considered one of the singles from the album In the Heart of the Young decoupled and 12th place achieved in the U.S. and No. 56 in the UK, was created in 1986 and Taylor, Kip Winger and the former Alice Cooper drummer Ken Mary was taken up as a demo.
On Demo Anthology demos of some pieces that had been published but on one of the albums, for example, the demo Without the Night by Winger album missing. This fact is due to the fact that Kip Winger does not have this demonstrations. In this case the respective song during the actual recording work is created for each album in the studio, so this is no demo.
