Dieter village is a municipality in the southern Harz district of Mansfeld - South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geographical Location

Dieter village is situated in the southern Harz at the end of a spur road that branches off from the highway Roßla - Hayn ( resin).

For the former municipality Dieter village also included the small settlement Karlsrode, which is located north of Dieter village.

History

Dieter village belonged to the rule of the Counts of Stolberg. On July 6, 1719, the Court Village by Count Christoph Friedrich of Stolberg- Stolberg to his brother Christian Jost was ceded to Stolberg- Roßla, integrated it in the office of the county Uftrungen Stolberg- Roßla.

1819 lived in the village of 420 inhabitants Dieter in 84 houses.
