Dinsheim-sur-Bruche

Dinsheim -sur- rupture ( German Dinsheim ) is a commune with 1371 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. The village was called until 2003 officially only Dinsheim and then, to avoid confusion with Dingsheim renamed. The Annex to the place name derives from the River ruptures ( Breusch dt ), where the spot is. The national statistical office INSEE had Dinsheim already referred to in the 1999 census as Dinsheim -sur- ruptures.

Geography

Dinsheim located west of Molsheim and Mutzig, in the foothills between the Vosges Mountains and the Upper Rhine Plain. The village is located north of Breusch, on the other side lies the community Gresswiller, where there is also a station on the route Strasbourg - hall. By mountian Dinsheim lead the N 420 and D 392

Attractions

North of the village rises the Slide Mountain (317 m), there is a statue of a child performing since 1875. Another striking building is the Church " Saints Simon et Jew " in the neoclassical style. It was built from 1828 to 1832.
