Dolní Krupá (Mladá Boleslav District)

Dolni Krupá ( German Lower Krupai ) is a municipality with 178 inhabitants in Okres Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. It is located directly on the southern edge of the former military training area Ralsko.

Geography

The street village located on the road # 268 of Mnichovo Hradiště after Mimoň. It is surrounded on three sides by vast forests, most of which belong to the city Ralsko since the lifting of the training area. In the northeast the land area adjacent to the community Rokyta. In the local area stems from the Bach Rokytka which opens at Nová Ves in the Bela River, a tributary of the Jizera.

History

Dolni Krupá was first mentioned in 1229 under the name " Chrupi ". Already in the 13th century, the church, which is dedicated to St. Wenceslas was born. It belonged first to the Bezděz until the Prague bishop Tobias she confirmed in 1293 as an independent parish. The town itself came into the possession of the Cistercian monastery Hradiště in the 14th century. After its destruction in the Hussite Wars, the parish broke up and the village fell to the Lords of Kuřívody. The independent parish was renewed until 1767. He persisted until 1946.

1775 had the place Krupá 23 house numbers. Since 1766 there have been two districts. Both were on the German side of the language border: Of the 437 residents who were resident in Dolni Krupá 1930, 346 identified themselves as German. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 was low Krupai slammed the German Reich and was assigned to the district until 1945 German fork. Attractions
