Donald J. Albosta

Donald Joseph Albosta ( born December 5, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan ) is a retired American politician (Democratic Party).

Career

Albosta served in the U.S. Navy and took political office in his hometown of Albee Township and Saginaw County. From 1974 to 1976 he represented the 86th electoral district in the House of Representatives from Michigan.

Albosta then competed in 1976, first unsuccessfully for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. 1979 to 1985 he represented there Michigans 10th constituency. The re-election he lost to Republican Bill Schuette. Albosta was chairman of the House Subcommittee on Human Resources, In his tenure, the investigation into the circumstances of the release of American hostages in Iran falls. The campaign committee of Ronald Reagan were assumed unethical to illegal acts in the final report.
