Geography
The municipality of El Salvador has a total area of 630.38 km ². It is up to the provincial border with Santiago de Cuba and Holguin in the west to the north. East of the municipality is the municipality of the provincial capital of Guantánamo and the South Niceto Pérez.
Traffic
El Salvador is located near the provincial capital, right next to a highway, which connects Guantánamo with the northern municipios Moa and Mayari.
