Manuel Tames is a municipality in the southeast of Cuba.
Manuel Tames is a municipality in the southeast of Cuba and belongs to the province of Guantánamo. The administrative headquarters of the municipios located in San Antonio de Río Seco.
Geography
The municipality Manuel Tames has a total area of 1051.55 km ². It is located in the heart of the province of Guantánamo. The municipality is bordered to the west by the province capital of Guantánamo, to the north by Yateras, the east and south of San Antonio del Sur and in a short section on the southwest by Caimanera.
History
The municipality was founded in 1964 new. It owes its name to the guerrilla Manuel Simón Tames Guerra, who under Fidel Castro died in the revolution in September 1958 at the battle.

Manuel Tames is connected by a highway directly with the provincial capital.
