Eschbach, Rhein-Lahn

Eschbach is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Nastaetten.

Geography

Eschbach is on the western edge of the so-called Blue Ländchen in Rhein-Lahn -Kreis about 8 km west of Nastaetten and 6 km east of the Rhine between the two country roads L 333 and L 334

History

Eschbach was since the 14th century in " Vierherrischen ", in 1755 the Office Reichenberg slammed after the second Nastätter recess, and remained Hessian with this until 1806. Temporarily occupied by French troops ( "pays reserve" ), the place came 1816 to the Duchy of Nassau.
