Eschbach, Rhein-Lahn
Eschbach is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Nastaetten.
Geography
Eschbach is on the western edge of the so-called Blue Ländchen in Rhein-Lahn -Kreis about 8 km west of Nastaetten and 6 km east of the Rhine between the two country roads L 333 and L 334
History
Eschbach was since the 14th century in " Vierherrischen ", in 1755 the Office Reichenberg slammed after the second Nastätter recess, and remained Hessian with this until 1806. Temporarily occupied by French troops ( "pays reserve" ), the place came 1816 to the Duchy of Nassau. Since 1866 part of the Prussian province of Hesse -Nassau, the place in 1946 for the then newly founded state of Rhineland -Palatinate. Since 1972, Eschbach belongs to the municipality Nastaetten.
Since 1563 Eschbach belonged ecclesiastically as a branch of the Protestant parish Weyer. Since 2003, Eschbach belongs to the parish Gemmerich.

Parish council
The local council in Eschbach consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Economy
The place is still very reliant on agriculture. To the land located directly around the place is a forest area. Between Gemmerich and Eschbach, a former Bundeswehr camp whose site is now used for the settlement of companies was ( Noex AG).
