The Concours 29 Euro Vision Song Contest, the official title of this year, (Municipal Theater ) in Luxembourg took place at the Théâtre Municipal on May 5, 1984. After the countries of Israel and Greece had canceled their participation, were only 19 nations at the start.

Diggi - loo, diggi - ley was originally just the working title of the eventual winner song, as yet there was no text to composition.
