The Junior Euro Vision Song Contest 2005 was the third edition of the competition, an international music competition of the European Broadcasting Union ( EBU) for young singers aged 8 to 15 years, as they were not allowed to join the Euro Vision Song Contest of age.

On 26 November 2005, the event in a co-production of Dutch- and French-language public broadcaster in Belgium (VRT and RTBF ) and the European Broadcasting Union was broadcast live from the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. Originally planned 17 countries participate, but on October 13 gave the Cypriot transmitter CyBC known to withdraw from internal reasons - it had become loud accusations of plagiarism with respect to the selected song. However, this had no impact on the participation of Cyprus in the telephone voting.

The public broadcaster of Switzerland and Poland did not participate due to financial reasons and returned, as well as France, which withdrew due to the transmitter's internal restructuring, not to JESC back. Russia and Serbia and Montenegro were represented at the first time in 2005 JESC.

During the counting of votes, the winner of the Junior Euro Vision Song Contest 2004, María Isabel from Spain sang a medley of their winning entry and some songs from her newly released album. They also gave the winner of the competition the prize.
