Felix Grundy McConnell

Felix Grundy McConnell ( born April 1, 1809 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, † September 10, 1846 in Washington DC) was an American lawyer and politician (Democratic Party).

Career

Felix Grundy McConnell moved in 1811 with his parents to Fayetteville ( Tennessee). There he received a limited education and was Sattler. McConnell then moved in 1834 to Talladega (Alabama ). He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1836 and then began to practice at Talladega.

He also pursued a political career. He was in 1838 a member of the House of Representatives from Alabama. He was subsequently 1839-1843 Member of the Senate of Alabama. Then he was elected to the 28th U.S. Congress. He was re-elected in the subsequent U.S. Congress. McConnell worked in the U.S. House of Representatives from March 4, 1843 until his death. He was buried in the Congressional Cemetery.
