Fignières

Fignières ( Picard: Fignière ) is a northern French village with 147 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.

Geography

The north-northeast of Montdidier and then located in this municipality in the landscape Santerre is on the D41 road department, the distance to the center of Montdidier is around 4.5 km. The municipality covers part of the used in the Second World War by the Luftwaffe airfield of Montdidier.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
