Fulton County (Ohio)

Fulton County is a county located in the state of Ohio of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Wauseon.

Geography

The County is located almost in the extreme northwest of Ohio, bounded on the north Michigan and has an area of 1045 square kilometers, of which one square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Lenawee County ( Michigan), Lucas County, Henry County, Williams County and Hillsdale County ( Michigan).

History

Fulton County was formed on February 28, 1850 from parts of Henry, Lucas and Williams County. It was named after Robert Fulton built, a norgamerikanischen engineer of the first practical steam ships and the submarine Nautilus.
