Gary Lux
Gary Lux (born 26 January 1959 in Ontario, Canada, as Gerhard Lux) is an Austrian singer, composer and music producer.
Life
Gary Lux came as a child to Austria. He made an electrical training, but devoted himself to the music, especially the piano.
In the late 1980s lived Gary Lux a few years in America. In Los Angeles, he worked with John Travolta, Chick Corea and Julia Migenes. As a musician, he toured with Wolfgang Ambros, Georg Danzer and Rain Fendrich. Lux was the musical director of programs such as the Grand Prix of Folk Music, Star Night at the Wörthersee, Starnacht in Montafon and Wenn die Musi spielt summer open air. For the ORF charity event light into darkness, he composed Who is right, which was sung in the show by Marianne Mendt, Sigrid Hauser, Andreas Steppan, Viktor Gernot and himself. Gary Lux has two sons and was married. His wife passed away, however, after a long illness on April 4, 2011.
