Gistel is a municipality in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality includes the city and the neighborhoods Gistel Moere, Snaaskerke and Zevekote.

Twinning

The partnership between Gistel and the Büdinger district Aulendiebach goes back to the earlier independence of Aulendiebach and can consequently be regarded as a pioneer in international town twinning with the German town of Büdingen.
