Global Kryner
Global Kryner was a band from Vienna, Austria. In April 2004, they released the eponymous debut album, which the band toured in Germany.
Band History
Global Kryner was an idea by Christof Spörk, the The Landstreich was from 1992 to early 2005 working as a clarinetist, singer and songwriter for the group. His first partner at Global Kryner was Sebastian Fuchs Berger, who was active in Mnozil Brass end of 2004. With the singer Anna Hauf, the accordion player Wolfgang peer, trumpeter Wolfgang Sohm and the long-term Christl Stürmer - guitarist Hardy comb Global Kryner first played under the project title " over.kryner " one of the first concerts on May 4, 2002 in Scheibbs occasion of the Lower Austrian folk Music Festivals AufhOHRchen.
As an accordionist Anton Sauprügl came in the fall of 2002 when guitarist Edi Köhldorfer in the fall of 2003 to do so. Ännie Höller, and Thomas Gansch finally completed those cast at the first CD " Global Kryner " was recorded with the between November 2003 and February 2004. Published in April 2004, this CD received in Austria soon gold status and was more than 40 weeks in the Austrian charts.
2005 Global Kryner won the Amadeus Award and performed at the Euro Vision Song Contest in Kiev with the song Y Así as Representative of Austria to. However, you left out in the semifinals. Won the 2006 Global Kryner the Bonn satire Price Prix Pantheon.
On January 28, 2010 Global Kryner presented their new CD " Global Kryner versus The Rounder Girls" in the box boxing club Union favorites, moderated by Sigi Bergmann. As part of the program has played accordionist Christian Bakanic.
Style
The Global Kryner organize their style to neither the popular nor the hit pop music. The compositions are characterized by jazz harmonies, changing time signatures, rhythms and tempos. Generally the music is located in the soulful jazzy area. It is striking that no drum is used and that the " Drive " by bass trombone, guitar and accordion comes.

Typical of the style and the audience of the ensemble is the fact that the musicians intended their debut album on the same evening in Musikantenstadl and important Viennese jazz club Porgy & Bess.
