Hohenbrugg -Weinberg is a municipality with 984 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the south- east of Styria in the district of Southeastern Styria.

Geography

Geographical Location

Hohenbrugg vineyard is located about 50 kilometers east of Graz and about 14 km east of the district capital field creek in eastern Styria's hill country. In the east Hohenbrugg vineyard adjacent to the Burgenland, south of the course of the municipal boundary of the Raab is determined.

Culture and sights

Other attractions in the municipality include the castle Hohenbrugg, the chapel in the village center of vineyard and those on the nut. Both chapels were built in the 19th century. The former was restored in the 1990s. Since the Hungarian border earlier was beside Hohenbrugg, there is a Maria Theresa stone that marks the old boundary.

Another attraction represents the Raab oxbow lake on the border with Fehring, which arose in the course of regulating the flow. The area is used by the population in the summer for fishing and in winter as a skating rink. Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 June 1982.
