Holiest sites in Islam
This is a list of Islamic pilgrimage sites. As such, all the places where Muslims are a religious visit ( Ziyara ) or specifically the pilgrimage ( Hajj; see also umra ) pay, especially the great pilgrimage cities of Islam as Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem, or the tombs of the Imams of Twelver ski Itten ( Imami ) but also many other cities and sites covered.
The pilgrimage to Mecca (Arabic حج, DMG Ḥaǧǧ ) is obligatory for a Muslim to the extent that it meets the requirements to do so.
Islamic pilgrimage sites and holy places there is next to Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran in many other countries and regions.
