Homs Governorate

Homs (Arabic محافظة حمص, Muhafazat Hims DMG ) is one of 14 Syrian governorates and is located in the center of the country. Covering an area of ​​42,223 km ² live about 1.763 million inhabitants (estimate 2010). Capital of the governorate is Homs.
