The Office cabins had an office in the northwest of the district of Rendsburg- Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein, based in Ascheffel.

The Office had an area of about 100 km ² and 7700 inhabitants last in the communities

Landscape

In the area of the Office cabins are the Hüttener Mountains, a nature park, which is dominated by the left by the last Ice Age, Elementary and terminal moraines. In contrast, the communities Owschlag and Brekendorf lie on the more level Geest.

History

Precursor of the Office was first recorded in 1519 Hüttener Harde, also called mountain Harde. With the acquisition of the aristocratic good huts in 1523 by Duke Frederick was huts administrative center of all 23 villages of the former mountain Harde. The historic office lodges existed - after the subdivision of the former grange cottages - in the Duchy of Schleswig from 1777 to 1867 then it went on in the province of Schleswig -Holstein.. A foundation of the Office cabins, there was at the 1970 connected to the district reform in Schleswig -Holstein offices merging.

As part of the reform of administrative structures in Schleswig Holstein, the Office merged on 1 January 2008 with the Office of the Official Wittensee Hüttener mountains.

The coat of arms is continued by the Office Hüttener mountains.
