The Office Hüttener mountains is an office in Rendsburg -Eckernförde district, Schleswig -Holstein with management based in the United Wittensee. In Ascheffel the Office maintains a second seat in which a part of the administration is housed, and in the communities Borgstedt and Owschlag an extension.

Geographical location

The Office is in the northwest of the district of Rendsburg- Eckernförde and is bordered to the northwest by the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, on the northeast by the Office Schlei Baltic Sea, to the east by the Office Danish Wahld the south by the North Sea-Baltic Canal, and on the west by the city Büdelsdorf and the Office Fockbek.

History

The Office was established on 1 January 2008 from the communities of the previous offices and huts Wittensee.

To March 1, 2008 merged the formerly independent communities Ahlefeld and Bistensee to the municipality Ahlefeld - Bistensee.

Coat of arms

Blazon: "In gold, rooted in three green hills, of which the middle is lowered, three tall green oaks. Between the trunks a bouncing red deer. "

The coat of arms was adopted by the Office cabins.

Landscape

In the area of the Office are the Hüttener Mountains, a nature park, which is dominated by the left by the last Ice Age, Elementary and terminal moraines. In contrast, the communities Owschlag and Brekendorf lie on the more level Geest.
