Iván Ramiro Córdoba Sepúlveda ( born August 11, 1976 in Rionegro, Antioquia ) is a former Colombian football player who played from 2000 to 2012 as a central defender for Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A. He is currently the team manager of Inter Milan.

Career

In the club

Córdoba began his professional career in 1994 with Deportivo Rionegro in the second Colombian League until he moved to the first 1996 Atletico Nacional. A year later he moved to San Lorenzo in the first Argentine league, where he drew attention to himself as a very solid and faster defenders. So many European top clubs were aware of him in the 2000 season. He eventually decided against Real Madrid and was brought from the traditional club Inter Milan to Italy, where he held a regular place for many years.

On 9 June 2008, he extended his contract with Inter until 2012. In the National Team

On 16 June 1997 Córdoba was in the Copa America against Costa Rica his debut in the Colombian national team. In 1999 he took part in the Copa América in Paraguay with Colombia. Private life

Together with his wife founded the Cordoba Foundation Colombia te quiere in 2004 ver. This takes care of needy children in his native Colombia.
