Joachim Dreifke

Joachim Dreifke ( born December 26, 1952 in Greifswald) was a very successful rowers, who in his career career won several medals at the Olympics and other notable tournaments starting for the GDR. Dreifke began at Greifswald Rowing Club was founded in 1972 and delegated to ASK forward Rostock. After his playing career he became a coach. He was also successful in seniors competitions.

Achievements

1977 Dreifke GDR Champion was one; 1975 together with Jürgen Bertow and 1981 and 1982 along with Klaus Kröppelien he was each GDR champion in double sculls. He also won six titles in the quadruple sculls: 1973, 1974, 1978, 1979, 1981 and 1983, he was awarded several times with the Patriotic Order of Merit. . In 1984 he was awarded the medal in gold.
