Johann Caspar Horner

Johann Kaspar Horner ( born March 21, 1774 Zurich, † November 3, 1834 in Zurich ) was a Swiss astronomer and mathematician.

There he took part in the meeting as secretary of the first European astronomers Congress.

Subsequently he was employed in Hamburg at the current mapping agency.

On Zach's recommendation he took from 1803 to 1808 as an astronomer at the circumnavigation of Captain Adam Johann von Krusenstern part.

From 1809 to 1829 he was professor of mathematics at the high school to Zurich.
