Joseph William Martin, Jr.

Joseph William Martin Jr. ( born November 3, 1884 in North Attleborough, Bristol County, Massachusetts, † March 6, 1968 ibid ) an American politician ( Republican).

Life

Martin was born in 1884 in Massachusetts. After school, he was a reporter at the 1902 " Attleboro Sun and Providence ." After six years he was in his hometown of its own newspaper, the " Evening Chronicle " out. For the first time, he was active in politics in 1912 when he was elected as a candidate of the Republican Party in the House of Representatives of Massachusetts, where he remained until 1914; after which he belonged until 1917 to the Massachusetts Senate.

In the elections in 1924 Martin was first elected to Massachusetts in the House of Representatives of the United States.
