Kaindl Hut
The Kaindlhütte is a private refuge at 1293 m or 1318 m altitude in the Kaiser mountains in Tyrol.
Location
The Kaindlhütte is located in the western part of the Kaiser Mountains on the Steinbergalm and at the foot of Zettenkaisers, the Scheffauers and the cutting heads. North of the Kaindlhütte is the Gamskogel ( 1449 m) and the wooded ridge of Brentenjochs. Thus, the cottage is in the conservation area Wilder Kaiser.
Access paths
The Kaindlhütte is accessible via several ascents:
- From the valley station of the chairlift in Kufstein over Brentenjoch in 2 ½ hours.
- From the mountain inn " Aschenbrenner " in 1 ½ hours, even with bicycle possible.
- From Hintersteinersee lake at Scheffau about the Walleralm in 2 ½ hours.
- From Kufstein Sparchen (Josef - Madersperger Memorial ) on the Duxeralm and Gamskogel in 3 hours.
The chair lift to Brentenjoch, from whose summit station hut with a short hike over driveways could be reached with just a few meters of ascent, was shut down in 2012 for an indefinite period.

- Gruttenhütte about Hochegg, Walleralm and Wilder -Kaiser -Steig, easy, walking time: 5 hours.
Tour options
To the north opens up a gentle valley, which is encircled by tame " grass mountains ". This offers a variety of beautiful and light hikes. Tour destinations, also in the form of a daily filling loop tour includes Brentenjoch, Gamskogel and Brandkogel. In the south, however, the rugged cliffs of the Wilder Kaiser dominate.
- Scheffauer ( 2111 m) over the Widauersteig in 2 ½ hours with climbs in difficulty I on the UIAA scale.
- Zettenkaiser (1968 m) over the Little Cemetery and the normal route in 2 hours with climbs in difficulty II on the UIAA scale.
- Felling heads (2,126 m) and Sonneck has Widauersteig and Scheffauer, difficult Gratüberschreitung.
- Diverse alpine (some sports) climbing routes in the north faces of Scheffauer and Zettenkaiser.
