Kernilis

Kernilis ( Kerniliz Breton ) is a commune in north-western Brittany, in Finistère department in 1388 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The place is located about 8 kilometers (km) south of the Atlantic Ocean coast at the entrance of the English Channel. The major city and port of Brest, 20 km south and about 500 kilometers east Paris (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Brest there is the next departures of the expressways E 50 E 60 direction towards Rennes and Nantes. The station is the terminus of Brest regional train lines in the direction of Morlaix / Rennes and Quimper / Nantes and the TGV Atlantique to Paris. Only 14 km south of the village near the city of Brest is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.
