Lederhose

The municipality is located in the district of Greiz leather pants in Thuringia and is a member of the administrative community Münchenbernsdorf. The municipality consists of the villages leather pants and Neuensorga.

History

The place lederhosen was first mentioned in a Latin document on 18 October 1287. Leather pants are older but because the place has its origin in a Slavic settlement. This is also where the unusual place name which has nothing to do with the same garment, but arose from the Slavic personal name Ludorad: Ludoraz - the place of Ludorad. There were two water mills in the district and the raft stream of leather pants. They were the top and the Jacob mill. They were first mentioned in 1731 in Weimar in writing. Both were located on or within the control of the raft pool, which was created in 1721. The Jacob mill burned down in 1897. You should be rebuilt, but the construction of the railway line and Niederpöllnitz Münchenbernsdorf smashed the plan. The raft pond was sold to a villager.

The municipal flag is yellow -green-yellow ( 1:2:1 ) with longitudinal stripes and is centrally occupied with the municipal coat of arms.

Traffic

Leather pants is about two kilometers east of the Federal Highway 9 and is connected to her about the road in 1073. In May 2009, a newly established highway junction was named after the place also because of the unusual and so catchy name.
