Lentföhrden

Lentföhrden is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography and transport

Lentföhrden lies in a vast moor and heath, which was, however, partly reforested.

The municipality is located north of Hamburg, on the main road between the towns of 4 Bad Bramstedt and cold churches. Alternatively Lentföhrden can also be reached via the motorway A7 exit cold churches. On infrastructure, the municipality over the train track Neumünster cold church Altona AKN can be reached.

As part of the planned expansion of the Baltic Sea motorway Lentföhrden will be also be reached via the federal highway 20. The connection point is expected to occur north of the church in the direction of Bad Bramstedt.

History

Lentföhrden was first documented in 1479. Through the municipal area led the Army Road and Altona- Kieler Chaussee. This 94 km long road was 1830-1832 by the then King Frederick VI. built by Denmark.

Of the 17 seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the municipal election 2008, seven seats and the SPD and the voter community WGL have five seats.
