Lignières, Somme
Lignières ( Picard: Lignère -lès- Roé ) is a northern French village with 144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.
Geography
The community is located at some distance south of the Avre in the landscape Santerre, about seven kilometers north-east of Montdidier on the road department D135E after Guerbigny. The southern municipality is affected by the degraded railway line from Roye by Montdidier. To Lignières heard the homestead Petit Hangest.
History
The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
