Muros de Nalón

Muros de Nalón is a municipality in the autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. Bordered in the north by the Cantabrian Sea, in the south of Pravia, in the west of Cudillero and to the east of Soto del Barco.

History

As in the whole Asturias are also finds from the Stone Age, a testament to the long colonization of the region. Especially along the rio Nalon gold and other materials been mined in ancient times.

Economy

First and foremost, of course, the fishing industry is still the main employer in the region. Increasingly, tourism is certainly one of the most promising sectors. The regional medium-sized enterprises are located mainly in the construction and transportation industries. The major employers are located in the industrial areas in nearby Aviles.
