Muskegon Zephyrs

The Muskegon Zephyrs were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Muskegon, Michigan. Their home stadium was the L. C. Walker Arena.

History

The Muskegon Zephyrs were founded in 1960 as a franchise of the International Hockey League. Already in its second season 1961/62 won the Zephyrs by a 4-0 final victory after games against the St. Paul Saints of the Turner Cup, the championship of the IHL. This success could not repeat the club. In the summer of 1965, the Muskegon Zephyrs were renamed in Muskegon Mohawks.
