Neat Records

Neat Records (later also: Neat Metal ) was an independent record label based in Newcastle, UK. The label was founded in 1979 by David Wood. The label was sold in 1995 by its then owner, the former Tygers of Pan - Tang vocalist Jess Cox, on Sanctuary Records.

Label history

In 1979, David Wood, the label Neat Records. Initially it was planned to set up a second label called Tidy, a two- character ( "pretty" and " clean " ), the idea was rejected. The first two releases were the singles All I Wanna Be Is Your Romeo by Motorway and One and Only Girl by Janie McKenzie. Fairly quickly, thanks mainly to Tygers of Pan Tang, the label has become a pure metal label, the first two singles were exceptional. Importance
