Neuhof an der Zenn ( officially: Neuhof adZenn ) is a market in the district of Neustadt adAisch -Bad Windsheim, Middle Franconia. Neuhof is the seat of the administrative community Neuhof an der Zenn.

History

The going back to the year 776 Name Zennhausen was replaced in 1249 by Neuhof = nova curia as a result of the construction of a new monastery courtyard of Heilsbronner Cistercian monastery. Neuhof belonged to the territory of the Margrave of Ansbach -Bayreuth and from 1500 to the Frankish Empire Circle, in 1792 came to Prussia and Bavaria 1810. The village was almost completely destroyed in April 1945.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1970, until then independent municipality Neuziegenrück was incorporated. On 1 January 1972 Hirsch Neuses and Oberfeld Brecht were added. The district Neukatterbach the disbanded community Katterbach followed on 1 July 1972.
