Geography

Neumühlestrasse lies in the Thuringian Slate Mountains on the Weisse Elster River, north of the county town Greiz.

Adjacent communities are Berga / Elster, Greiz, Langenwetzendorf and Teichwolframsdorf.

History

The community Neumühlestrasse was founded on 1 January 1960 disentanglement of several districts from other communities, specifically from Neumühlestrasse, Bretmühle, Knott Mill / Share Knott reason and Neuhammer (formerly Nitschareuth ) from Grell tavern and Green Oak ( formerly Kleinreinsdorf ) Lehnamühle (formerly Tschirma ) and Knott reason and cancer mill ( formerly Walter village). Neumühlestrasse is located on the Elstertal web. Streets run after Teichwolframsdorf, to Greiz and after Daßlitz on the B 92

About the White Elster, near the stud Bretmühle, was on 10 November 2005 which is important for hikers and cyclists wooden bridge, also known as " Bretmühle Bridge " in the vernacular released.
