North West Leicestershire

North West Leicestershire is a District in the county of Leicestershire in England. Administrative center is the city of Coalville. Other important towns are Ashby -de- la- Zouch, Castle Donington and Ibstock. Is internationally known motorsport race track Donington Park.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Ashby -de- la- Zouch, Ashby and Coalville woulds, the Rural Districts Ashby -de- la- Zouch and Castle Donington and part of the Rural District Market Bosworth.
