Oberhofen am Irrsee
Oberhofen is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel 1520 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Mondsee.
Geography
Oberhofen is located on 573 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The extension is 6 km from north to south, from west to east 6.7 km. The total area is 21.16 km ². 34 % of the area is forested, 59 % of the land used for agriculture.

The coat of arms was granted in 1979. The illustrated rare curlew breeds in Upper Austria only a few places, including in the North Moor at Mondsee.
History
Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed.
