Pitzenberg
Pitzenberg is a municipality in Upper Austria in Vöcklabruck district in Hausruckviertel with 493 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district Vöcklabruck.
Geography
Pitzenberg is located on 445 m altitude in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 3.3 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 3.1 km. The total area is 5.9 km ². 32.2 % of the area is forested, 62.7 % of the area is used for agriculture.

Coat of arms
Blazon: intermediates formed by two black, fallen and with the cutting inturned Sense iron edges in gold on a green Dreienberg a green conifer. The municipality colors are yellow - green.
The symbols in the coat of arms in 1981 conferred stand for the name (mountain ), the abundance of forests ( tree) and the agricultural character (sense leaves) of the community.
History
Originally in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria lying, was the place since the 12th century the Duchy of Austria. Since 1490 he is the Principality ' Austria above the Enns ' attributed. During the Napoleonic Wars, the place was occupied several times. Since 1918, the town belongs to the province of Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria. The community was until the end of 2004 part of the judicial district swan city and was effective January 1, 2005, part of the judicial district Vöcklabruck.

For cost reasons, Pitzenberg has partnered with the neighboring communities Pühret, Rutzenham and Oberndorf bei swan city to an administrative community. The joint municipal office is located in Oberndorf.
Population Development
In 1991 the community had 467 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 495 inhabitants.
