Oneida County (Idaho)

Oneida County is a county located in the state of Idaho in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Malad City.

Geography

The County is located in southwest Idaho, on the south by Utah and has an area of ​​3112 square kilometers, of which three square miles are water. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Power County, Bannock County, Franklin County and Cassia County.

History

Oneida County was formed on 22 January 1864 as the original County. It was named New York after the Oneida Lake.
