Peter Oosterhuis

Peter Oosterhuis ( May 3, 1948 in London ) is an English former professional golfer and golf analyst and commentator now.

Golf career

As an amateur, took Oosterhuis UK 1967 Walker Cup and in the Eisenhower Trophy in 1968. He played on the European Tour in the early years and won four times in a row, the European Tour Order of Merit 1971-1974. Oosterhuis was also on the money list winner in 1972 and 1974, which is not equivalent, because those time -based with the Order of Merit was on a points system.

Then he turned to the North American PGA Tour, which he recorded from 1975 to 1986. Oosterhuis recorded 20 world tournament victories including the prestigious British PGA Championship in 1973. He was second twice at the Open Championship in 1974 and 1982.
