All pieces were written by Johan Edlund himself, only The Pentagram is a poem set to music by Aleister Crowley. The album was recorded in his own studio Edlund's The Temple of the Crescent Moon as well as the Modern Art Studios with engineer Sam Carpenter. Remixed it was of T.T. Oksala at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki. The pieces Cain and Divided appeared later as live versions as bonus tracks by The Scarred People. The female vocals on Carry Your Cross and I'll Carry Mine took Sonja Brandt.
