Producers Guild of America Award

The Producers Guild of America Award, 1990-2001 Golden Laurel Award, is an American film prize, which is awarded by the Producers Guild of America ( PGA) annually.

Joel Freeman, former treasurer of the Producers Guild of America called the price together with the former PGA President Leonard Stern launched to reward special performance of film and television producer.

The ceremony is presented every year by a prominent filmmakers, these were since 1990, among others Ronald Reagan, Ted Turner, Garry Marshall, Robert Guillaume, Jack Lemmon, James Earl Jones, Michael Douglas, Walter Matthau and Shirley MacLaine.

In addition to the Producers of the Year Award for the most outstanding producer of the year, the Stanley Kramer Award is awarded for special achievement in the representation of social issues since 2002.
