Province of Ogliastra
The Province of Ogliastra (Italian Provincia dell'Ogliastra ) is a province in the region of Sardinia. Short-term capital was Lanusei. The seat of the provincial government has now been relocated to Tortoli.
The province has 57 321 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in 23 municipalities covering an area of 1,854 km ² and is thus the most sparsely populated province of Italy.
The province was established in 2001 by law. On 8 May 2005, the province de facto was founded and elected to the provincial council and the province chief.
