Proving ground

Military training areas ( TrÜbPl ) are, in contrast to local training areas, larger state-owned land for military use with accommodations for the exercising troops ( " military camp " ) and with systems that allow soldiers of all branches of the armed forces and branches of service, a realistic combat training with exercise and combat ammunition if necessary carried out by external fire positions.

The limits of military training areas are marked by signs; the access is prohibited because of the risk by unexploded ammunition.
